Santa Fe Public School District Intranet

Maven was a digital growth consultancy that I teamed up with advising, designing, scoping, researching, and programming for various client projects as a lead full stack developer. Most notably, I created an internal use intranet for the Santa Fe Public School District in California. Features included: API integrations, active directory / LDAP rails integration, user roles (admin, support staff, teachers, principals, etc.), global or assigned access, profiles, blog, news, page management, upload/attach/link documents, global search, calendars/events, training section, training videos, quick links, system-wide alerts, and "fun features".

It was developed into a turnkey system. For this project, I integrated Amazon S3 to handle all user and admin media uploads. Set up staging & production environments with Heroku. Used Mandrill to handle transactional emails. Created video URL helpers to support both Vimeo and YouTube. Roadmaped the systems architecture. And developed and styled the front-end UX/UI. I really enjoyed working on every project with Maven. They eventually pivoted more into business consulting after 20 years in the development and design niche, so we shook hand and parted ways.
